Heather Tick M.A., M.D. is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine (FCM), at the University of Arizona.
She is the Director of the Integrative Pain Clinic in the Department of FCM and the co-founder and present Director of The RSI Clinic in Toronto: an Integrative Pain Treatment Centre.
Dr. Tick is a practicing medical doctor, author, speaker and consultant, she bridges the gap between complementary and conventional medicine in her treatment of Repetitive Strain Injuries and Myofascial Disorders.
Dr. Tick is an Instructor and Practitioner of Intramuscular Stimulation, a ground-breaking form of deep acupuncture that effectively treats neurological pain and soft tissue injuries. She is a frequent presenter on the topic of RSI and workplace safety, and healthy aging medicine. She is also involved in research projects with the University of Waterloo and the University of Arizona. Her recent book, Life Beyond The Carpal Tunnel: From Pain to Healing, serves as both a resource for the patient and a guide for the practitioner.
